"There is only one Name under whom believers should be gathered--the Lord Jesus Christ. And there is one PERFECT CHURCH--God's local assembly." - Gaetan Robichaud

An Eye for Perfection
As soon as I was saved at the age of 21, I came out from the Catholic priest system which elevates some people (i.e. priests, cardinals. popes, etc.) from among the members of their congregation. And there is no way I am going back to that same system now that I am born again. There should be nobody acting as a mediator between man and God, between me and God. Denominations have that same kind of system. Denominations elevate their so called pastors, founders, and officials, putting them into a higher place than the rest of the believers. So, why would I go to denominations which are just like the Catholic church only in a subtle way? |
People in denominations may receive a lot of spiritual blessings, but they are still NOT in the perfect place! The perfect church is the New Testament church. Many would say "There is no such thing as a perfect church. In every place you go there is a flaw in one way or another." But brethren, there is a perfect place to go and a perfect way to be gathered! And because it does exist, we ought not to be settled with just anything available or comfortable. Instead, we ought to find IT so that we can completely please our Savior. It is our responsibility to search for that one true church.
The New Testament has never changed. But notice every denomination around us keep on changing all the time. With a new denomination, comes a new teaching and/or tradition that most of the time contradict other denominations. Also, they have various names. And when you go to them, you will notice that none of them will tell you that it's THE perfect place. They will say there is no such a place, hiding the complete truth and living a lie.
In the previous years, denominations from around the world associate with each other putting away their differences and calling it ecumenism, love, and respect. But this is done on the expense of the scriptures. Some denominations even fellowship with Catholics, unsaved people, by singing and playing music and doing some activities with them. They believe that they can live together in harmony. But what does the Bible say about this?
Denominations do not know, or refuse to know, that there is a complete and perfect church. The perfect church follows the New Testament accurately. Its doctrines and patterns are written in the New Testament in black and white, which is heavenly received and inspired. It is directly given to man from God. Hence, everything that is done which is not found in the New Testament will automatically be disregarded by the Lord.
I believe that when there is nothing to lose, there is no fight. When a man finds a precious stone, he will cherish and protect it. It is the same thing with the New Testament church.
Are you willing to spend more time reading and learning carefully the accuracy of the text of the New Testament like the noble people of Berea?
"The people in Berea were better than the people of Thessalonica. They were glad to listen to Paul's words. Every day they studied the holy writings to see if what Paul said was right" Acts 17:11.
I provoke you, brethren, to seek for perfection! Do not settle for anything less for the glory of God!
